Using an Appearance Modifier machine; players can edit many aspects of their character's appearance & details.

Below are the various appearance parts that players can use; though colours can be modified greatly; and differing patterns added to each of them; changing where & how the colour choices might be applied.

Many of the options are available by default; but far more can be unlocked by visiting the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion on the Space Anomaly. A few other options can be unlocked by completing story missions; such as 'Dreams Of The Deep' or trading with the Scrap Merchant on the Space Station with Tainted Metal from Derelict Freighters.
