Most Multi-Tool weapons, such as the Boltcaster require ammunition. Craft ammunition in empty slots in your Inventory.
While in combat, Reload your current weapon with Key R. this will automatically draw ammo from your inventory.
Ensure you have crafted sufficient ammunition before entering a combat situation.
All projects based weapons use the same ammunition: the Boltcaster, the Pulse Spitter and the Scatter Blaster.
Energy based weapons, such as the Blaze Javelin, are charged with carbon directly from the Quick Menu or the Inventory. The Mining Beam is not use in combat.
When out of ammo or charge, use Key Q to melee strike.
