Scan Objects

Used to stack, not anymore

The player is tasked with travelling to an approximate waypoint on the marked planet (with some objects not yet discovered) and scanning unique flora, fauna or minerals for the client using an Analysis Visor.

Hunt Pirates

No, but can be chained

The player is tasked with travelling to the marked pirate base via Pulse Jump, then defeating all pirate waves that spawn, for the client. The threat of the pirates that spawn depends on the mission's required rank:

Low-level Pirates: The pirates have default durability and lethality (identical to pirates with 100,000-unit bounties).

Pirates: The pirates have augmented durability and lethality (identical to pirates with 200,000-unit bounties).

Dangerous Pirates: The pirates have greatly augmented durability and lethality (identical to pirates with 300,000-unit bounties).

[Chained: You can do one after the other in whatever system you are in]

Take a Photo

To a point

The player is tasked with using Photo Mode to take a photograph of a particular location.

Photo Mode must be accessed while on foot - taking photographs while within a starship will not contribute toward mission completion.

  • {Biome} Planet: The player must take the photograph on a [biome] planet within the marked system.

  • {Point of Interest}: The player must include a particular type of structure in their photograph. Such a structure is marked by approximate waypoint while the mission is actively tracked.

  • {Type of Creature}: The player must include a particular type of creature in their photograph.

[Can be stacked, but will only complete any other missions that are exactly the same e.g. Take a photo of a scorched world]

Raid a Facility

Yes, up to 6

The player is tasked with attacking a Point of Interest for the client.

  • {Depot} Destroy the 5 silos at the Depot. Do this on foot & without using grenades, as attacking from too far away, or from a ship, or destroying all 5 in quick succession, can result in mission not registering as complete.

  • {Planetary Harvester} The player must travel to the marked Operations Centre (approximate waypoint), force its door open, and use its terminal to obtain key information.

[Mission stacks with others of the same type, completing up to 6 of them at once]

Collect Item

No

Acquire 250 of a certain element or 50 of a certain plant (low rank). Acquire a specific trade item or crafted product (high rank).

Deliver to a Galactic Trade Terminal at a Trading Post.

Deliver Item

No

Player is given a specific item to take to another Star System & Deliver to a Galactic Trade Terminal at a Trading Post.

Player will also be given a Defence Chit; which can be used to call aid in case of a pirate attack.

Find a Missing Person

No

The player is tasked with finding a person for the client.

  • Low-rank variants immediately send the player to a Crashed Ship (approximate waypoint). Talking to the marked lifeform allows the player to transmit their location to the client, completing the mission's objective.

  • High-rank variants send the player to a lifeform at a Trading Post. This lifeform may require a bribe to grant the player the location of the missing person. Alternatively, this lifeform may tell the player that the person they are looking for left in a hurry, starting a timer for the player to locate the lifeform.

In both cases, visiting the lifeform (at a Crashed Ship) and transmitting their location completes the mission's objective.

Assault a Freighter

No

The player is tasked with attacking a Freighter within a Space Fleet and destroying its containers.

Defend a Freighter

No

The player is tasked with defending a Freighter by destroying the pirates attacking it.

Repair a Damaged Item

No

The player is tasked with repairing the terminal of an Observatory or Transmission Tower (approximate waypoint) and transmitting diagnostic results to the client. The terminal will have three Damaged Components.

Unearth an Ancient Artifact

No

The player is tasked with finding a specific relic site; aquiring Collect 3 Ancient Keys & digging up the treasure.

NOTE ON STANDING:

To get access to each rank of missions the player requires a certain amount of standing with each faction or guild.

[Rank 1] - 3 Standing Required

[Rank 2] - 8 Standing Required

[Rank 3] - 14 Standing Required

[Rank 4] - 21 Standing Required

[Rank 5] - 30 Standing Required

[Rank 6]- 40 Standing Required

[Rank 7] - 60 Standing Required

OTHER NOTES:

  • For mission types that utilise approximate waypoints, the Analysis Visor's Target Sweep mode may be used to locate mission objectives if the player has trouble finding them via other means.

  • During the primary mission Patterns in Time, a Gek Cartographer requires players to complete two GEK missions from the Mission Board prior to providing information about their race. No other mission types will count; only GEK missions.

Outlaw - Deep Space Plunder - Seize Goods From Traders

Outlaw - Freighter Assault - Raid A Capital Ship

No

Rumours abound of a heavily-laden expedition, %CONVOYNAME%, travelling through a nearby system. Its capital ship, the %FREIGHTER%, is weighed down with valuables collected over a long voyage.

Outlaw - Smuggled Goods - Deliver Illegal Cargo

No

The bounty master has come into possession of a shipment of %PRIMARYITEM%. They wish to realise the profit from this acquisition.

The Guild Envoy is a stall located inside space stations. It allows players to receive free or discounted rewards from the star system's specific guild.

The player can only receive the rewards once they have achieved a minimum level of standing in the guild. If this is the first time the envoy has been encountered, they will also offer a mission which will improve the player's rank by 5 points, making it very worthwhile.

The guild that shows up in the space station is region specific. So if players are not finding the one they want; they should travel a good distance of star systems away, because almost all of the envoys in that region of space will be of the same guild. The region of a given star system can be learned in the Galactic Map by selecting "Expand" when reviewing the system's details. Each region is capable of containing up to 4096 solar systems, but generally less than 600 of them appear on the Galactic Map.

The system's Race, Economy type & level, and Conflict level have no bearing on the items offered for donation or reedeming. They are simply chosen from a pool of items that are guild specific.

📋

Missions from the Mission Board are locked until certain levels of standing are reached.

Many of the missions available at the Space station Mission Board actually stack with each other, allowing you to complete many of them by completing just the one.
For example, killing 18 fauna will complete all missions that ask you to kill less than 18 fauna.

Notes on Standing:
- To gain access to all of the missions, you may need to raise your standing with each faction.
- You can do so by giving gifts to NPCs and by completing the missions you already have access to. Most missions reward +1 to standing, though some higher ranking missions reward +2. Missions from the guild envoy award +5 to standing.
- You lose 1 standing if you cancel a delivery mission.
- Mission requirements are (Mission Rank/Standing Needed):
     1/3     2/8     3/14     4/21     5/30     6/40     7/60     8/100
