It has an extremely large health pool, but it can be destroyed by Multi-tool weapons.

Additional Information:

Damage will force the Armoured Clam to open its shells for a short time, revealing the Living Pearl inside. If it is not taken in the allotted time, the shells will violently snap shut, hurting the player if too close, and the player will need to damage them again.
