Corvettes are a completely bespoke class of starship - assembled piece by piece - with a traversable, furnished interior. These habitable ships are constructed in a similar fashion to planetary bases, and can be fitted out internally with living areas such as nutrition units and bunk beds.

---

Where to get Corvette Parts:

  • Buy simple ones from Space Station.

  • Trade with the Space Station Corvette Module.

  • Dig up Salvagable Scrap on planets.

  • Crashed Freighters on Planets.

  • Missions from Nexus, Space Station, Corvette, etc.

  • Frigate Expedition Missions.

  • Hunting Pirates.

  • Derelict Freighter end terminal rewards 3-5 random corvette modules.

---

Modules determine the aesthetics of the ship, and many modules also enhance specific ship stats, such as damage potential or shield strength. Corvettes can be upgraded in class & storage at the Starship Terminal like any other Starship.

Begin Corvette creation at a Corvette Workshop, found aboard Space Stations by the large landing pads near the station entrance tunnel. A number of basic modules can also be purchased from the Workshop. Without mods, you can place up to 100 parts. Bear in mind that building too high will begin to obstruct your view when flying this ship. I recommend no higher than 3 floors.

Select finalize to complete a Corvette design, or exit the Workshop to resume it later.

Most Corvette parts provide some sort of stat or slot boost, for the first 3 parts of a particular type placed. I've noticed though that the numbers change depending on if you're placing part 1, 2 or 3.

If you're smart about it, you can get the best boost for each part by placing them in the correct order, for example using one of each of the 3 shield modules, but placing them in the order that gives the best boost for each.

Then of course, once built, you can move your tech around for adjacency boosts. You can follow the basic structure of the best layout for starships, with some small edits. Treat the tech modules created by the part as though they are upgrade modules for their respective tech (instead of the usal S or X class).

Once a Corvette's structure is finalized, you can add internal decorations by stepping inside the ship and accessing the Build Menu. This has a 3000 part limit like any base. The structure of a finalized Corvette can be also modified at the Corvette Workshop at any time.
